Astranity was born with a mission: to create unique garments, made to measure to each client, incorporating corsetry and handmade finishes.
My name is Carolina (designer, pattermaking, dressmaker, customer service, content creation, a little of everything) and in November 2023 I decided to change the name of my brand.
It is the fusion between the word Astra - star or celestial body in Latin - and Serenity - serenity in English and it reminds me of Sailor Moon. It was an interesting move to get away from the classic Haute Couture designer in Argentina.
And to be able to concentrate on my passions and transmit stories: fairytale, corsetry, ethereal angels and why not big dresses with tulle, glitter and incredible structures.
I have been sewing for 12 years (and counting) and have been through many Ateliers and designers that have instilled in me great challenges and great experiences.
In 2020 I decided not to work permanently anymore and it was only in mid-2021 that I was able to start this post-pandemic independent journey.
Being in the field as a dressmaker, I was able to visualize the needs we face to get the items we want to achieve professional finishes (and why not, make our lives easier, right?)
I hope we can bring more items in the near future and satisfy all our sewing cravings.
